Texas Star Bank Streamlines Teller Operations With Software Automation

Texas Star Bank deploys Atris Technology’s FlexTeller solution to reduce processing and regulatory demands placed on both teller line and supporting personnel.

Gainesville, Florida, July 18, 2008 – Atris Technology, Inc. a provider of automation solutions to banks and credit unions, announced it has completed deployment of its FlexTeller system at Texas Star Bank. In addition to more efficient transaction processing for bank tellers and customers, back office personnel have also automated many of their manual, time consuming tasks. The bank selected FlexTeller based on positive end user feedback and Atris Technology’s existing relationship with the bank’s core processing vendor, Jack Henry & Associates.

From an ease of use and functionality standpoint we were confident our tellers would enjoy working with FlexTeller,” said Rita Medlin, Assistant Vice President at the bank. “They quickly learned the transaction workflow and were very excited with many of the benefits previously unavailable to them at their teller window. To help simplify its conversion, the bank installed FlexTeller at its main office initially and utilized on site services provided by Atris to train key personnel and provide system tailoring. Branch offices were deployed according to the bank’s scheduling needs, giving users ample time to become familiar with the new features. Back office employees ranging from item processing to BSA officers are immediately seeing the benefits with more consistent teller work and transaction data available for detailed analysis through Atris reporting utilities. Bank-wide large cash tracking is automatic and FinCen reporting is now centralized and managed electronically. Added Medlin, “We used to spend hours consolidating teller data into different spreadsheets and now that information is available in seconds.”
