Fifth
Third Bank Processing Solutions added to the list of EFT providers
certified with FlexATM system.
Gainesville,
Florida, October 1, 2005 – Atris Technology, Inc. a
provider of
automation solutions to community banks, announced the completion
of
certification testing between its FlexATM online authorization
system and
Fifth Third Bank Processing Solutions for real time EFT transaction
posting without significant changes to its operations. The
certification was
initially provided on behalf of three financial institutions
that migrated to
the online processing functions provided by FlexATM.
FlexATM is an effective alternative to traditional in-house
terminal driving
systems, managing authorization requests from any ATM and
Point of
Sale (POS) terminal. Seamless core system integration allows
authorizations to be performed in real-time, delivering consistency
between other real-time delivery channels. Additionally, online
posting
secures funds from fraudulent transaction activity, reducing
the financial
institution’s risk inherent with batch file systems.
The Fifth
Third certification enables financial institutions to migrate
its
current batch file environment to online processing with tremendous
simplicity. Streamlined transaction authorizations and reconciliation
procedures enable FlexATM to be deployed and maintained easily,
making it ideal for community bank operations. In addition,
FlexATM
includes open support for EFT processors and core banking
applications,
allowing financial institutions the freedom to change business
relationships as needed.
Scott
McElhiney, Atris Technology Sales Manager, identified the
dual
benefits of the Fifth Third certification. “Banks working
with Fifth Third for
EFT processing can deploy FlexATM without any changes to their
to their
current operations. And banks considering Fifth Third now
have a
cost-effective, online processing option to bundle with the
EFT provider.”
